This material can be used from around 5 years onwards and offers the child many possibilities. The main goal is to make the decimal system understandable by working with physical objects and symbols. With this material the child can compose big numbers and apply the four arithmetic operations to them, proceeding in a clear and conscious way from a concrete dimension to abstraction.

Description

The set includes:

  • 9 smooth cubes in natural beech wood, with tray;
  • 45 smooth squares of 100 in natural beech wood, with tray 40 x 13 cm
  • 100 gold beads in gold-colored wood, in a wooden box with lid;
  • 45 sticks of 10 with gold-colored wooden beads (stainless steel stick)
  • 1 large low tray 25 x 43 cm;
  • 4 medium trays 25 x 28 cm; 4 wooden bowls;
  • 1 set of large 5 x 5 cm number cards 1-9000, in matt coated cardboard;
  • 3 sets of small 3 x 3 cm number cards 1-3000, in matt coated cardboard, in their respective wooden boxes with lids.
