FROM HEARING TRAINING TO MUSIC WRITING
Music pervades the Montessori environment from a child's earliest years: from developing a sense of rhythm through movement training activities, to working with sensory materials that sharpen hearing, to training in listening and the discrimination of musical sounds, and finally, musical writing, the vast array of activities offered to children is also supported by materials specifically designed to accompany them in the development of musical skills, thus enriching their cultural development. Working with Montessori music materials also provides children with an important opportunity to develop language, expand their vocabulary, and build connections with other disciplines.
