MY PLACE IN THE UNIVERSE

Over the years Maria Montessori developed an educational vision which up to the present day is known as “cosmic education”. This approach considers the human being the most powerful agent within the complex system that has been created since the origins of the universe and capable of bringing about changes. This complex system embraces the whole planet with its history and with the relationship and interconnection between all its living and non living components. Based on this vision, studying geography answers a specific need of the child to become aware of the place it occupies as an individual in the world. Cosmic education can start from early age and, with the help of specific materials, the child will continue to deepen its knowledge in the years after.
