The wooden drawer, which can be part of the cabinet, contains insets of various figures: it is made up of a frame within which to place the geometric figure of the same material but in a contrasting colour with a small wooden knob. The available colours are: yellow with blue figure or white with red figure. There are four figures in this set: a curvilinear triangle, an ellipse, an oval, and a quatrefoil plus to full frames. NOTE: insets are currently made from wood. The drawer can be supplied with a removable felt bottom in the colour of the geometric figures chosen (SE02 G). All wooden parts are UNI EN 71-3 finished.

This material can be used from three years onwards and develops the sensorial knowledge of plane geometry which will be deepened in the following years. It develops the visual and tactile knowledge of the geometric figures that can be observed consciously in the surrounding area. The sensorial experimentation with straight lines and curves, together with the grip exercise, are a good preparation for writing (the forms are similar to the letters of the alphabet and to the numerical digits).

Working with this material refines the auditory capacity up to developing the ability to recognise the sound characteristics of objects even without looking at them (you can do this blindfolded). Like other Montessori materials for very small children, this material helps to develop concentration, will, intelligence and sharpens the observation of the...

This box is used from the age of 3 years onwards. The colour tablets give the child a visual education and refines the ability to distinguish different colours. Like other Montessori materials for very small children, this material helps to develop concentration, will, intelligence and sharpens the observation of the environment. Moreover, it develops the...

The pink tower gives the child visual education of dimensions, sharpening the ability to distinguish different sizes even if they are very small. As with other Montessori materials for very small children, the pink tower helps to develop concentration, willpower and intelligence. It shapes the logical-mathematical mind and helps to develop a sharper...

As from the age of three, this material introduces the child to studying plane geometry, showing how many plane figures can be made using only identical triangles. This material is also very useful in primary school, in particular when dyslexic children first start to study geometry. The blue triangles can be supported by nomenclatures, drawings or prints.

From the age of 4 years the working with this material the child will learn that all plane geometrical figures can be constructed from triangles. It allows to evaluate the length of the sides and the angles by simply putting more elements one on top of the other. This material is also very useful in primary school, in particular when dyslexic children...

This material refines the child’s ability to visually distinguish colours and figures. Like other Montessori materials for very small children, this material helps to develop concentration, will, intelligence. The cubes and parallelepipedons in relation between each other give a practical representation of algebraic formulae (a+b), the generic binomial...

Block 3, to be used from 24-26 months of age onwards, facilitates freedom of choice and concentration, gross and fine motoric skills, eye-hand coordination, visual perception through the education of sight with reference to dimension (this block presents the idea of short/tall and the related gradations). It also develops the seriation ability and offers...
