From the age of 3 years the number rods get the child acquainted with the numbers from 1 to 10 through linked units: each rod corresponds to a number on the corresponding card (MA19), and the units are clearly shown by the sequence of blue and red segments. The child can thus control the error by counting the units. This material also introduces the child to the metric system.

Description

The material consists of ten rods with square section 3x3 cm of different lengths, from 10 to 100 cm, every rod increasing with 10 cm. The first section of each rod is blue (the same colour as the ….), followed by red, blue and so on. The rods are artisan made of solid wood with nontoxic colour finishing.
