This tray can be used from 3-4 years onwards if the child has already started to work with the sandpaper letters (LI03 and LI04) which can be used as examples. Further on, after working with the language insets (LI01), this activity refines manual coordination and is an excellent preparation for reading which, as Maria Montessori observed, will be developed afterwards. The letter that is traced in the sand can be cancelled completely by using the smoothing tool. If the child is not satisfied with the result of its work, it can cancel any trace of any error and avoid frustration. This favours self esteem.

Description

The UNI EN 71-3 finished wooden tray has two lateral grips and contains quartz sand. The tray is well sealed so as to avoid sand loss.
