The cabinet, with an open display space, includes three geography insets in three drawers: the planisphere (GF01), Europe (GF02) and Italy (GF03). Each drawer contains a movable frame with the coloured wooden insets of the continents (planisphere), nations (Europe) and regions (Italy). The knobs for easy handling are placed where possible in correspondence of the capital of the country or region. The colours of the continents are the same as on the globe (GF06). All wooden parts, except for the wooden knobs, have a UNI EN71-3 finishing.

The geography materials can be used from the age of three years onwards. The activities that can be carried out are of increasing complexity: composing and taking apart the single pieces (visual and tactile discrimination), learning the scientific nomenclatures, pre-writing (tracing the outlines of the single parts and of the complete composition), writing and reading. Later the material can be used when studying geography in more detail.
