FUELING THE NATURAL DESIRE OF LEARNING

Handwork helps intellectual development, creating the base for abstraction. At the beginning the exploration of geometry is all sensorial: already from the age of three the child has the opportunity to acquire an intuitive knowledge of plane and solid geometry through the work with various materials. Already at the age of six, the child acquires the knowledge that will allow him or her to approach a deeper study of geometry as a natural continuation of the work with sensorial materials. The new materials will lead the child gradually towards abstraction, which would be much more difficult without handwork. Moreover, each material allows the child to work in a personal and creative way, satisfying its natural curiosity and the motivation to learn that is characteristic of all children.

THEOREM OF PYTHAGORAS BOARD 1

GE03-A-1
€70.00
Work with this material can be started from 5-6 years of age onwards when the child already has a thorough experience with the geometry cabinet - SE02 - and a good knowledge of the properties of rectangular triangles. It is used to study the concept of equivalence through a tangible demonstration of the Pythagoras Theorem in the isoscele triangular...

THEOREM OF PYTHAGORAS BOARD 2

GE03-B-1
€80.00
This material can be used from 5-6 years onwards. It is dedicated to the numerical demonstration of the Pythagoras Theorem by studying the scalene triangular rectangle and to the exploration of the concept of equivalence. The concrete objects, representing the geometric figures in the demonstration, can be moved, touched and lined up, and the child can...

THEOREM OF PYTHAGORAS BOARD 3

GE03-C-1
€72.00
This material can be used from 5-6 years onwards. It consists in a very simple and intuitive demonstration of the Pythagoras Theorem through a number of concrete checks on the equivalence between the various figures. Moreover, it is the demonstration of the Pythagoras Theorem according to Euclid. The geometric figures that are involved in the...

YELLOW PRISMS FOR VOLUME

GE07
€132.00
This material is suggested in the first classes of primary school after having worked with the volume box (GE06). It introduces the child to the concept that the calculation of a solid volume involves three dimensions.
